Unfair NLRB Poster Rule Dead as of Yesterday

Back in February, we shared that a federal appeals court decision firmly struck down a mandate from the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) that required all private sector employers to post notices telling workers of their right to join a union. It was a big relief to Ohio business owners because the decision restored employers’ right to free speech.

Yesterday, the NLRB announced they will not pursue another appeals process. This is a positive business development that will keep giving employers the flexibility to decide whether or not they want to post this information at their business.

We’re pleased the NLRB has left this obviously unfair and unnecessary rule in the dust. The Ohio Chamber will continue to monitor future NLRB actions and advocate for the business community.
