In case you missed it, we announced the Ohio Chamber Political Action Committee’s (OCCPAC) endorsements for the 2014 General Election on Tuesday. With Election Day less than three months away, the time had come for the Ohio Chamber to weigh in on this year’s races. The endorsements are made to inform voters, and especially Ohio Chamber members and other businesses, of who on the ballot supports free enterprise and pro-growth policies.
A total of 79 candidates have been endorsed – 13 for the Senate and 66 for the House of Representatives. Additionally, seven candidates have been chosen as Chamber Choice – meaning they are decidedly more pro-business than their opponent, and they’re in a tough, competitive race. The purpose of Chamber Choice is to let you know who needs our help the most. The seven candidates include Sen. Kevin Bacon (R-Minerva Park), Sen. Bill Beagle (R-Tipp City), Rep. Anthony DeVitis (R-Uniontown), Rep. Anne Gonzales (R-Westerville), Kyle Koehler (R-Springfield), Rep. Stephanie Kunze (R-Hilliard), and Rep. Stephen Slesnick (D-Canton).
Stay tuned, there will be more on these races to come.
