Third Frontier Releases Requests for Proposals
At the request of Governor Kasich, the Ohio Third Frontier has committed $20 million to advance new technology in the battle against drug abuse and addiction. As part of a two-pronged approach to accomplish this goal, Third Frontier is now accepting proposals for the Ohio Opioid Abuse, Prevention and Treatment Technology Initiative. The goal of this program is to accelerate the development of existing, proven ideas that need an extra push to get them to market faster.
“Ohio is investing nearly a billion dollars each year on the problem of abuse and addiction,” said David Goodman, director of the Ohio Development Services Agency and chair of the Ohio Third Frontier Commission. “Advancing technology is one more way to ensure we leave no stone unturned in the fight against opioid addiction.”
