Registration open for Ohio ACT Workforce Forum

You are invited to attend the Ohio ACT Workforce Forum, to be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel from 1:00-4:30 p.m. The Forum is sponsored by the Ohio ACT State Council, an advocacy and advisory group which represents education and workforce professionals from across the state in the ACT Ohio State Organization.

The goal of the Forum is to bring stakeholders together to discuss the current state of the Ohio workforce and how a common language among educators, workforce developers, job seekers and employers can increase, improve and ensure the workforce pipeline to better serve Ohio employers and help recruit new ones to the state. Only the ACT work readiness system provides a regimented job profiling methodology to determine the foundational skill levels required to do a specific job, up-to date and evidence-based assessments to determine if an individual has these required skills, and includes a completely aligned, self-paced curriculum to address skill gaps where they exist – all culminating with a nationally recognized, industry relevant, and portable certification of an individual’s work readiness.

A free event, The Ohio ACT Workforce Forum is open to employers, workforce development, professionals, and legislators, as well as to K-12 and postsecondary educators and administrators who work closely with career preparedness.
