Yesterday, Secretary of State Frank LaRose spoke to the Ohio Chamber’s Small Business Council, or OSBC. The meeting was hosted by member company CBIZ in Akron, and it was held in collaboration with the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce and the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Secretary LaRose spoke about two of the main functions of his office: business services and elections. Specifically, as it relates to business services, he focused on the efforts his office will be making to continue to expedite business filings, which he said continue to break monthly records in terms of new filings.
As it related to overseeing elections in the state of Ohio, Secretary LaRose talked about how his office is working every day to ensure the safety and protection of our elections. He mentioned various programs his staff is working on to help convey the importance of elections and voting as it relates to civic duty. It was truly a great experience to have Secretary LaRose address OSBC and talk about some of the priorities and initiatives he wants to pursue as our Secretary of State. We look forward to continuing to work with him and his office in the future as we work to champion free enterprise, economic competitiveness and growth for the benefit of all Ohioans.
