Ohio Chamber Research Foundation Explores the Future of Innovation in Ohio in Lunch, Learn & Lead Discussion Series

The Ohio Chamber Research Foundation recently held its second meeting for its Lunch, Learn & Lead Discussion Series. Focused on the future of innovation in Ohio, the event brought together a room full of policy-makers and industry leaders that unveiled the pivotal point Ohio’s economy is at in its innovation future.

The panel discussion included Bill Baumel, managing director of the Ohio Innovation Fund, John MclIwraith, managing director of Allos Ventures, Matt Peters, assistant director for the Ohio Development Services Agency and Aaron Pitts, senior managing director at JobsOhio.

The panel discussed the impact of their individual organizations in Ohio’s innovation space, but also the goals, challenges and steps being taken to keep Ohio at the forefront of the innovation discussion. With job growth slowing down in Ohio and neighboring states, the importance of recruiting talent, collaboration between companies and universities and maintaining balance between when it comes to investments and capital, were all points of discussion during the meeting.
