Ohio’s Top Jobs List Created by Governor’s Administration

Recently, Governor DeWine’s Office of Workforce Transformation unveiled their newest resource to help people who are seeking employment. Ohio’s Top Jobs List features data on salary, growth, employment and openings across various professions.

This newly created list combines the current In-Demand Jobs compilation with positions that are being defined as Critical Jobs. These types of jobs are ones that support residents’ health. They were identified through the work of experts in eight career fields, which include: children and community health, early childhood education, first responders, lead abatement, mental and behavioral health, nursing, physicians, wellness and research and technology.

The user-friendly portal featured in this new program allows you to search for jobs by individual sector as well as by region within the state. Additionally, you can see typically what type of education level is required with each job as well as preferred experience. All of these changes and updates are welcome additions that will make maneuvering around the portal much easier.

Governor DeWine said in a statement about the new program, “Ohio’s Top Jobs are critical to the long-term health and well-being of our state, our communities, and our families. These are also positions that are available now. We’re looking for Ohioans who want to serve their communities as early childhood educators, first responders, and health care providers.”

Right now, the website lists over 1,000,000 job openings from over 34,000 individual employers in all the sectors combined. Additionally, it lists 281 of the most in-demand, critical jobs that are available currently in Ohio. It is our hope that this portal will help individuals seeking employment link up with employers who desperately need workers.
