We all manufacture pride in the business community.
We’re all for Ohio.
Ariel Corp. hosted the Ohio Chamber, Sen. Kris Jordan, Rep. Margaret Ann Ruhl, Sen. Jay Hottinger, and Rep. Scott Ryan on Wednesday, October 12 at their Mount Vernon Headquarters. This was the fifth stop on the 2016 All for Ohio tour series.
The Ohio Chamber created the series to foster in-depth conversations between business and political leaders regarding how policy decisions impact operations of Ohio businesses. Issues discussed at Ariel included the possibility of a state severance tax, EPA regulations, and the impact businesses have in their local communities.
“The fact that the Marcellus and Utica Shales are located in Ohio (as well as Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New York) means we have an unprecedented opportunity to attract the industries which utilize natural gas as feedstock, or which need dependable, low-priced electricity generated by gas-fired power plants, or which manufacture equipment used in exploration and production of oil and gas, or which manufacture all of the goods (cars, food, clothing, housing, etc.) needed by people employed in the exploration and production industry. Prosperity for Ohio, and for the United States as a whole, is guaranteed as we embrace the development of clean, green and abundant natural gas,” stated Ariel Corp. president and CEO, Karen Buchwald Wright regarding the policy conversation.
Ariel Corporation, located in Mount Vernon, Ohio, is the world’s largest manufacturer of separable reciprocating gas compressors. Ariel’s compressors are utilized by the global energy industry to extract, process, transport, store, and distribute natural gas from the wellhead to the end-user.
